Collection: Medicine Bag Contents

This article and collection of products (below) is for those who would like a medicine cabinet on the go. We suggest putting a small medicine bag in your Go Bag and a larger medicine bag in your Bug Out Bag. We would also suggest considering keeping backup medical supplies in your home, your homestead, or wherever you rest your head at night.

This is not the traditional Native American medicine bag which may have crystals and other wonderful things in it, but it's similar and we use the term with utmost respect.

This medicine bag is a soft-sided bag (these tend to take up less space than hard-sided containers) and you wear it on you (perhaps in your backpack or at least in a vehicle that you keep with you such as a travois). It's meant to contain the natural medicine you might need when you're out on the trail or wherever you are.

Content characteristics to consider: excellent quality, waterproof container (or ability to be conveniently packed in one), light weight, small volume, durable non-conductive packaging and products, and multi-purpose.

Why non-conductive? EMF reflection and distortion (considering 5G EMF, EMP and other possible causes of TEOTWAWKI and issues thereafter), and apparently less risk of anomalies found in fires such as those in California and Greece.

Great for preppers, tiny home folks, wilderness survivalists, off-grid thrivalists and others, below is our list of suggested products to consider keeping in screw-top plastic containers (which are relatively air-tight and might help your backpack act as somewhat of a floatation device, as well as being non-conductive and perhaps having less EMF issues).

That said, homeopathic remedies might be better kept in a wood box than only a soft-sided medicine bag. We don't all know yet how the high EMF from WiFi and such will affect homeopathics but given that the higher potentizations are believed to work via waves instead of particles, it seems reasonable to think that homeopathic waves might suffer interference from other waves such as EMF waves, and that homeopathic remedies would therefore be more effective longer if stored traditionally in a wood box. Interestingly, that's how leader of homeopathic movement Dr. Samuel Hahnemann is said to have stored his homeopathic remedies hundreds of years ago.

Homeopathic pellets or liquid (airtight container, preferably in a wood box separate from essential oils and other strong-smelling things, following additional best practices for storage of homeopathic remedies): Bach's Rescue Remedy, Arnica montana, Rhus toxicodendron, Ledum palustre, Sepia, Thuja occidentalis, Hypericum perforatum, Mercurius vivus, Crotalus horridus, Baptisia tinctoria, etc.

Essential oils (airtight container if storing homeopathics nearby): Olbas, "Super Oreganol," 100% pure organic rosemary essential oil, 100% organic pure lavender essential oil (found to be antibacterial, a muscle relaxant, and more), etc.

Toothpowder container (variety of recipes, less expensive to make your own, and may be individualized for each member of your party): We'll try to do a blog post with information on making your own dental powder soon. We're also looking for a good pre-mixed toothpowder to include below that's free of sodium lauryl sulfate and other such ingredients.

Baking soda container: Baking soda has been found helpful as a toothpowder for short periods of time for those using homeopathics. It's lack of essential oils and other strong smells (i.e. lack of flavor) and its other characteristigs have been found to allow homeopathics to continue working when other tooth cleaners wouldn't. Strong smells, such as those from essential oils have been found to cancel the beneficial effects of some homeopathic remedies. That might help to explain why some studies show they work amazingly well, while other studies report a failure to find benefits.

Toothbrush, toothpaste and floss container: Whether you choose tooth powder or toothpaste or both, you might want to keep your dental care products close together. In case of rain or cold fingers, it's easier to get to things and keep them drier if you only need to open one bag. Same goes for other items in your stash.

Trail Mix/Food and Medicine Foraging Bottle: A little something to collect little somethings in. Chewing Douglas Fir needles is a wilderness skill for getting vitamin C and quenching thirst. (It's probably a good idea to spit the needles out after chewing, rather than swallow them, in order to avoid possible stomach issues.) Anyway, when you pass a tree or berry bush you might want to collect a few little things...

This page is a collection in the making and probably always will be.
